Stop Dog Hostility cont'd
2. If your dog is ever attacked or
mishandled, immediately remove them from the situation. It is your job to protect them.
3. Distract you dog from the immediate
problem.
4. Don’t be quick to punish your dog, for a
problem that may not be theirs. You know your dog better than anyone else. Try and determine if your dog is always
aggressive or only reacting to the odd situation. If they are demonstrating hostility only occasionally – what is
provoking or causing that behavior to take place?
5. When using commands like Come, Heel, Sit,
or Stay – let your dog know that you are the boss.
6. Reward them for obedience to enforce proper
behavior.
Please remember that consistency, patience, firmness and love in your dog training can go a long
way towards conquering hostility and aggression in your pet.
