Dog Potty Training Tips cont'd

Serve a Healthy Diet

Feed the dog a good healthy and consistent diet. That way you will not get any surprises. In other words, do not give your dog food that upsets its stomach.

Schedule Feeding Times

Do not make the last feeding and watering event to late in the day. Otherwise your pet may have an accident simply because you are not around.

Remove Water Bowl

Take the water bowl away from your pet at night. This will discourage your pet from drinking, just because the water is handy. Do not forget to replace the water bowl in the morning. You do not want your dog to get dehydrated.

Watch For Serious Behavioral Issues

If you have just inherited a mature dog, and it has problems with peeing in unlikely situations your dog may have other issues, such as fear or a history of being abused.

Keep Good Referral Notes

Establishing a daily habitual routine will educate your pet in the shortest period of time. An Olympic athlete frequently examines his or her training log to learn what is working and what may need tweaking. If you keep a do it yourself dog training log you will find it extremely enlightening and beneficial.

Good luck to you and your pet. We hope that these dog potty training tips will make canine potty training, a pleasure for you and your dog.
